This is one of the traditional dishes from the time of the Moghul Emperors and is taken from an old Kashmiri recipe as opposed to the simplified Restaurateurs version which is nowhere near as aromatic and simply uses tomatoes and peppers for it's red colouring.
This recipe originated in Persia as a slow cooked meat dish and has been slightly altered over the years. This is a real treat of a dish and is medium hot in flavour, not mild like it's English counterpart.
